There's never gonna be a new Prince. Dude was a once in a generation type talent who was a master of multiple instruments and genres. No current artists today have that type of versatility and I don't see anyone else coming out anytime soon who'd be able to do what Prince did on both an artistic and commercial level. There are plenty of great artists who are clearly influenced by him though, most notably D'Angelo, the Dream, Frank Ocean and Miguel

I also think this dude has a chance to really blow up. And one of the reasons why I fukk with this song is because he sounds like Prince

The influence is in D'Angelo..A Keys..Mint Condition, Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz and everybody else, but you can't redo what he did 'cause like Michael, Hendrix, SRV, Rick James, Aaliyah, Janis, 'Pac etc etc they wasn't done yet.. All we fans and musicians can do is keep the vibe alive and pass the lessons on to the next generation <3

If Bruno Mars makes a comeback he will be either MJ or Prince

Prince was on a level all by himself. Remember, MJ was just a singer, writer, producer and dancer. Prince did all that at at least the same level as MJ plus he could play multiple instruments at a very high level. NO other artist, black or white was messin with Prince.

When Stevie goes, that will be it for the true talent and musical geniuses. There is no one else. No rappers come close. Sorry!

None. It feels weird and disrespectful to even contemplate such a question. We aren't talking about disposable talent here. We're talking about an artist that was a real genius and not just someone hyped up as one or posed as one. Really, it speaks to how bad of shape music is in when we have to talk about the next (insert great). These artists should be making a name for themselves where they can stand on their own merits and not be propped up as the next someone else. Prince broke down barriers and surpassed any artist you could compare him too. Same goes for Michael Jackson, James Brown, and every other great.
