SNES all day for me!!!!!!!

That bulky ass 3-button controller killed it for me to give the Genesis a shot


If anyone was able to play fighting/sports games with that controller effectively should have been tested for Mensa status.

I do admit, Streets of Rage 2 was one of the GOAT beat em ups, along with the Golden Axe series.

outside of Sonic and Streets of Rage, genesis had nothing going for it at the time (for me).

Rented SNES for it's RPG's.

Made me revisit Genesis for Shining Force and Phantasy Star.

Eventually bought a SNES particularly for Final Fantasy II (IV).

Worth it for both Final Fantasy III (VI) and Phantasy Star IV.

I owned a Genesis.

Then came the almighty emulator.

We rented the SNES twice on the strength of Mario.

After borrowing games from my friends, then I rented the system from Blockbuster twice.

Until I discovered the magic that is the emulator for nostalgia purposes.
