i havent moved on in fact im doubling down, this whole issue just shows the need to destroy the public school system and replace it with independent charter schools and vouchers

you dont really have an argument other than the one i just stated, and you already stated in the other thread that you think the solution is more resources and you think integration as a way to measure resources

the problem with that is that neither resources or level or integration are a good metric for academic performance, because those are factors are derivatives of other things

the bottom line IMO is that the true metric of academic performance is culture, that pretty much determines academic performance, and black people should not focus on levels of integration or levels of funding, the main thing to focus us in is creating an academically orientated african american culture

and we should not be trying to have equal education, we should be trying to get a superior education

No the argument is that the public funding allotted for public schools, is directly correlated to the surrounding neighborhoods tax brackets.

I really see nothing wrong with this...why we cry to be next to the white man in every thing is beyond me...they been telling us for decades now they want nothing to do with us...get it thru our heads...instead of whining lets say a big fukk you to the white man by raising our education standards...miss me with this the schools get more funding craps...in Haiti I had my books and my class was in a yard...I came here in 5th grade and never failed the fcat (Florida test) and never had a c or worse in school...graduated with a 3.2 gpa...let's stop with the Damn excuses and make shyt happen...

a charter school is independently run, that means the principles and the managers at the school itself decide who gets hired, they dont have to check with the school board, the theory, one which i am a proponent of, is that this greater flexibility allows charted school to be more flexible in addressing their students

and a side benefit is charters school expansion will allow black educators to open up their own independent schools

While dats a good idea with the charter schools...I think focusing on that is ignoring the core problems...black kids (mostly boys) just dnt value education that much...it's not "cool" to be smart in the black community..ironically black women attend college more than any other demographic bt yet they get with those bad ass kids who shun school thus giving more black boys the ideas that you have to be bad to get some girls...my whole point is if the kids dnt wanna learn they won't...we have to change our mindset then worry bout funding n stuff...the mindset change have to start at the house...
