Why are atheists so obsessed with religion?

Most atheists are nothing like that at all just as most Christians are not like Jim Baker or 'pedophile priests' and most Muslims are not like Osama bin Laden.

The real 'blame' can in a sense be attributed to certain forms of Protestantism which relegated depictions of 'Holy' things/people as blasphemous in the 15th Century. It pretty much stopped people from visualizing what 'G-d' was and without being able to 'see' it mentally, it took one more step to imagine it being not there at all. In a sense, the rise in atheism directly corresponds to the power inherent in religious societies. The more power they have, the more atheism is seen as a 'deliverer' from oppression. The flip-side to this is that as religious domination wanes, so does atheism.....which is what's been happening since the mid-70's here in America. Many people think that atheism is on the rise, but that would be false. It's just more apparent. Since it is now being seen as the 'oppressor', religious belief is now the 'deliverer'.

This just outlines the history of the evolution of brain size. I dont find it hard to believe that random mutations in DNA lead to animals with larger brains


What I wanna know is how random mutations lead to abstract reasoning in humans, something no other animal can do.

do you realise that disproving evolution does not prove the existence of a god right. Just like proving evolution does not disprove a god exists. They don't even correlate. It's only an issue for literal creationists.

Evolution is a 'scientific theory' not just a theory.

i think it's because the nature of their business is to provide duality to the argument over a conscious and concerned supreme being(s). if there wasn't large amounts of people advertising God(s) and forms of worship and religion, they'd have no battle to fight.

theres gonna be a fight over resources at some point, thats all i know. a lotta poorer people are gonna be deprived or killed off. its a certainty

maybe in like a thousand years or so. of course, god could just snap his fingers and prevent that, couldnt he. being that he created the entire universe
