Go read a biology book.
You're the one that believes evolution alone lead to our intelligence and superiority

so explain how random mutations in DNA lead to abstract reasoning, something only humans are capable of (no other creature comes close)

Other animals are capable of abstract reasoning.

Stop thinking that because other animals don't have thumbs that they aren't capable of "abstract thought"

fukk outta here with this obsessed nonsense. Tired of christians and muslims acting like they don't go around bothering people with their beliefs:camby:

What makes me laugh at them though, is that when I talk about polytheism, animism, hinduism and various other belief systems, they make the exact same arguments I make against abrahamic faiths with a straight face :dahell:

majority of the time atheists do a bad job of turning believers into non believers

For any religious folks, I suggest you read Paul Tillich. He was an existential Christian, well Protestant theologian hated by the church and religious folks who actually considered him an atheist because his beliefs questioned theirs. (He kinda was but not in a rejection of GOD way) He also argued that believers actually do a terrible job of turning non believers into believers and that atheism did a better job of turning non believers into believers

What's funny is that atheists and nihilists like to quote Nietszches "God is dead and we have killed them" quote to be all edgy but completely ignore the context of the story in which that was sad. It was actually putting blame on Christian's and believers for contributing to non believers rejection of God lol

I grew up an atheists, meaning.. without religion, a lack of religion, that's purely what atheism is. Got older, turned to religion for a bit. Became an atheists, then a nihilist which actually brought me to learning about Existential Christianity and now I consider myself a believer. But not how most Christian's believe.

Edit: he also argued that one can be an atheist and a believer, as atheism does not negate believing in GOD (keep in mind, his view of god was not as a separate entity or separate to our being but Being Itself)

So people have been killing other people in the name of religions for most of human history but atheists are a$$holes because some of them say or do things that are offensive to religious people :mjlol:

FUN HISTORICAL FACT: Religion is directly responsible for less than 10% of ALL major conflicts in recorded history.

If atheists m/o is to be logical, they definitely can't take part in politics.

I'm not an atheist but rather an agnostic.

With that said I enjoy discussing religion, particularly at the philosophical level, because it's a fascinating subject.

Just because you don't know the answer doesn't mean god I'm not dismissing the possibility just think it's a trash argument.

This is true and why I think atheists using arguments like that do them a disservice

Mostly ego, which funnily enough atheists tend to be the mostly egotistical fukks.

The real 'blame' can in a sense be attributed to certain forms of Protestantism which relegated depictions of 'Holy' things/people as blasphemous in the 15th Century. It pretty much stopped people from visualizing what 'G-d' was and without being able to 'see' it mentally, it took one more step to imagine it being not there at all. In a sense, the rise in atheism directly corresponds to the power inherent in religious societies. The more power they have, the more atheism is seen as a 'deliverer' from oppression. The flip-side to this is that as religious domination wanes, so does atheism.....which is what's been happening since the mid-70's here in America. Many people think that atheism is on the rise, but that would be false. It's just more apparent. Since it is now being seen as the 'oppressor', religious belief is now the 'deliverer'.
