Some black names are just old European names that white people stopped using and then became "our" names.

LeRoy, Demetrius, Tyrone, Jerome.

Now some names, people just go out of their way to be "different" like L'Quantreyvious or DeChambroniqua.

Then you got PAWGS that name their mixed kids "regular" names but spell them weird: Justyn, Tielerr, Dehvid, Danyuhl or some bullshyt like that.

I remember some older thread where a breh used Jerome as an example of a "Black" name. While in France and Belgium it's like one of the whitest names ever. I've met tons of people called Jerome in my life and all of them where white.

LeRoy is the old writing of "Le Roi", meaning "The King" in french. Always kind strange when a man has the feminine prefix "la" in his name, like LaMarcus. There's probably all kinds of examples. Doesn't mean they don't sound nice, names like Demarcus or LeBron sound great imo.

the adding a French prefix at the beginning, e.g. LaMichael, DeAndre
(apostrophes optional)

or the Arab in origin name, e.g.
Amir, Jamal, Rashad

or biblical names e.g.
Malachi, Michael, James

We are the only people penalized for naming our kids. I don't see anything wrong with "Ghetto names". Why we can't be different and create names that we want without the negative connotation behind it? I think most of us is just brainwashed into thinking anything we do is wrong
