Because a). Roman was along for the ride in a Brock Lesnar match (not sure where people are getting this "star-making performance" thing from. He did well, but it wasn't really anything special), and b). Absolutely nothing changed about his push. He's still the same guy with the same limitations signifying the same thing about WWE's mentality toward who they think is and is not a top star, but he just didn't win the belt.

Asking this question is actually kind of naive, in my opinion. Getting Roman positive reactions again is going to be an arduous, months- or even years-long process, and what they're doing is NOT going in the direction of remedying the situation.
