I've been noticing this as the number of homeless people on the train rise. Anyone know why?

Hmmm I would say a couple of reasons:
1) Men tend to have more addictive personalities so more likely to let their addictions get them homeless
2) Women can just ho it up and spread their legs to get a place to sleep

There are more social programs geared towards women, esp those with children, also women tend to hit more targets for impoverished people than men (DV, sexual or other assault, etc.).

Men are, and have always been expandable. That's why most people have a twinge of panic when a woman or child is getting beaten, but feel nothing if a man gets his brains blown out in front of them.
