Why are the large majority of homeless people male?

I don’t think it’s that. I think men are less willing to put up with the bullshyt of education than women are.

A lot of men are better teachers than a lot of females are. But whereas, women will internalize the stressful conditions, scramble to try and grade every paper, be at every meeting, take and take and take...for shytty pay, cry, get depressed, nervous over evaluations, work extra 8 unpaid hours a day in grading, course preps, behavior charts and whatever other dumb shyt these sorry a$$holes who don’t know what they are doing tell teachers to do...very few men are gonna put up with that shyt for years on end. Got some funny stories about this.

And I don’t blame them to be honest. God knows my ass snapped and I’m blklisted in some districts now.

A lot of female industries have a lot of tedium involved for little pay. Men don’t like that shyt. But u gotta start somewhere.

Good analysis. True we gotta start at the bottom. I get alot of men teach in my inbox. Maybe that's my next move. One thing that killed me was a cat telling me you can't save your students. shyt Kinda dissuaded me.

most homeless people are not that young, if they are, they are runaways, or drug addicts, or escaping some kind of bad situation

A full grown man should never be homeless, you had a lifetime to build relationships, stack bread, learn skills, and understand how the world around you works

There are more social programs geared towards women especially if she has children/dependents living with her.

A lot of women have adult kids and siblings that are not going to let their dear mom or sister be out in the streets.

If all else fails women also have a vagina that they can sell, prostitute, and barter with. It happens much more than you think too.

Men are much more likely to battle substance abuse issues and there are not as many supports out there for men in destitute situations.

No one give a shyt about a man that's broke, jobless, with mental health issues, and substance abuse issues.

I'm curious - do you think this dynamic exists only when both parents are present, and do you think our culture plays a part in this?

In my own family growing up and my spouse's, I can count on a few fingers all the adult men who live on their own, independently and financially capable.

The rest of the men in either family live with their mothers still. There are some who do not, but that is only because their mothers have died; they all live on the street or with a woman who essentially takes care of them.

Interestingly, though, all the girls in either family have grown up to leave the house first and gotten established on their own. There is an expectation they will get it done (and this is without public assistance in most cases).

In each case, there may have been a man/husband/father in the house at the beginning, but now each of those men is now homeless or completely dependent on the woman/wife to provide for them both.

Hmmm I would say a couple of reasons:

1) Men tend to have more addictive personalities so more likely to let their addictions get them homeless

2) Women can just ho it up and spread their legs to get a place to sleep

Nobody is going to let their mama or grandma be homeless

but is plenty of dead beat bads, fukk nikkaz ins general who burned every bridge they had in life fukked over all the people who actually cared about them, now they have nobody who fukk with them, thats how people end up homeless

if you don't have any family or friends who will help you out, and they all ain't die in 911 or some shyt, its because more than likely you are a fukked up individual and did everybody dirty

My friend’s uncle has been homeless and on drugs since he got out of prison (child molester) and his family completely cut him off for basically being a shady disgusting creep his whole life . Not saying that most homeless men are trash individuals. I interned at a homeless law firm for the homeless and I assisted a few homeless men and their stories were heart breaking . Some were army vets that fell on hard times , some
Lost their family due to crimes and incidents. Some suffered from mental issues . Those can play huge factors as well.

Most shelters are focused on women with children. They get first dibs on low income housing. Then you have welfare, child support.

Women got more options. If she looks decent some simp will take care of her.

Mental illness is a factor, but where's the family to take care of the mentally ill, a know people who get crazy checks from their mental ill loved ones, that ain't it

The veteran thing doesn't guarantee they weren't doing fukked up shyt, I know veterans who did all types of crimes and were just off key individuals
