$15 an hour? No. fast food jobs are suppose to side hustle/hard times jobs. I worked at Zaxby's last year and yea i would love $15/hr but the work load isn't worth it. I didn't do anything unless i was scheduled for rush hour which was literally 1-2 hours max. that was my 1st job ever and i started at $8. $15 is just too much for a bullshyt job like fast food. I know for a fact kids start fukking up in school when they get a raise because this kid i knew almost didn't graduate but he didn't care because it got paid $10/hr at McDonald...smh

Crimson still clearly not grasping that McDonald's franchises operate independently from one another.

Bruh, the article you posted said you had to put up $750,000 of personal non loan funds for franchise

I'm not feeling bad for anyone that has 750k in cash to spend on anything

Zaxbys is NOT Mc'Donalds. McDonalds gets SWAMPED. Burger King stays PACKED. there a very few if ANY down periods. You gone WORK.

He's an idiot if he didn't get his degree because of a 10/hr job.

And yall conveniently forget Not everyone can AFFORD or is capable of attending college?

Does that means there lives mean less.

another thing. I got a feeling if mcdonald's ups the wage to $15 hr, you're gonna see college grads and higher skilled people and what not applying for these jobs thus taking them from the non-skilled folks who were bytching about their shytty wages in the first place leaving them in a worse situation than they are now.

Double edged sword. If the owner of the McDonald's is forced to pay $15/hr, nothing's preventing him from requiring a college degree. Would be interesting to see if the restaurant would operate more efficiently or not if that happened.

I guess this is only at my local McDonald's because they are always twiddling their thumbs no matter what time it is.

They're the ones taking the risk when buying the franchise! The owner is the reason people are working there. Again, not every McDonald's records the exact profit as the next. You ever wonder why service sucks at one McDonald's but is great at another? If an owner wants to pay shyt the product suffers and people don't eat there anymore.

There are not enough jobs in America that people can work and it pays them a livable wage

Why are you so against people getting paid a livable wage by a company that can clearly afford it.

shyt why stop at doubling their salaries if you really wanted to help why don't you just triple them our quadruple them. Then they would be making 30 and hour having to trouble feeding thier family, it wouldn't "hurt" any one ALL mcds would have to do then is charge 8 dollars a hamburger - such a small sacrifice to help out all these hard working people
