Why are Y'all against fastfood workers making $15/HR???

Brehs my CEO made 27 million last year. Our frontline employees make on average $15 an hour and I don't even think their wages are fair. I can't justify anyone making $7 an hour while the company they are working for is making billions in profit and paying people that do less work millions.

Any job that just requires a high school diploma is not going to require more skill ( that can't be easily obtained through on the job training) as one that doesn't.

Pharmacy tech seems like a horrible job, BTW.

First of all, why is it stupid? You don't need a degree, but you DO have to get certified in most stores and hospitals (which I did). Again, it required a lot more skill than when I was a carhop at a fast food restaurant. I had to actually study to take the exam to be certified. Also, not sure why you relisted the salary information because I already said in the previous post that I wasn't making 15/hr.

Second, I was a pharmacy technician in high school and some of college. It was an AMAZING job to have as a senior in high school and throughout some of college. I actually really loved that job. I have a masters and and am currently in a phd program. I no longer work in pharmacy so that last line (about it seeming like a horrible job) isn't an insult to me (you tried it though). .

Actually a lot of stores and hospitals will PAY for the certs for you...I guess anything to try to shyt on someone trying to do better (esp if they are "females").

Wasn't trying to shyt on females, I have 2 friends and an exjumpoff that are all Pharm Techs.

Plus it requires more intelligence and trust factor dealing with pills, over fries and milk shakes.

It's all good. That is the way it came off with the "sad" comment. I did it when I was in high school and college (I don't do it anymore). I also worked fast food in high school, and one required me to think and the other didn't (Crimsontrider thought that was stupid to say though...although I was speaking from my experience). It seemed like you were cosigning his/her bs.

Oh that's going to happen anyway. There's a glut of engineers and scientists in India/China RIGHT NOW making 25K a year because its too many of them. I expect firms to start outsourcing those white collar jobs in our lifetime. shyt would really be real then You too busy worrying about the little man making fries to see who the real enemy is though

I've never worked fast food before but I've got a lot of experience in customer service.

Folks can sit up and say it's really not a hard job or whatever. But I'll tell you it is hard to not BEAT THE shyt out of some of you crying ass customers.
