All 3 chicks I know went to Everestt.They paid for their own certs, One is actually home now on leave because she couldnt afford to renew her license. The stores aint paying them to get no certs. I'm not trying to argue breh, cuz you the homie. But I never understood why people went to tech school for pharm tech jobs. Its a waste of money. But thats another story. All im saying is, you have access to drugs, but everything still goes through the guy or girl with the advanced degree. If it doesnt, that is illegal. You dont need any knowledge of drugs to be a pharm tech. The schools usually teach you clerical shyt and dealing with insurances, simple conversions...stuff like that.

If you perform a job that almost ANYONE in the world could do, you aren’t going to have any substantial claim to making more than minimum wage. The job requires almost no skill. The fact that they are striking for more money only concretes the idea in my mind that they will always be working for minimum wage. They just don’t get it.

theres plenty of ppl who work harder jobs, longer hours at less pay. Unless them getting more pay means others who work harder ( yes on the books) getting a raise too, then fukk that. nikkas who working harder jobs are watching closely, considering leaving their jobs ( some of them union paying them 14 even an hr) to work at fastfood. ya nikkas outside NYC dont really understand how hard it is to make it on your own here. the rents are ridiculous and even at 15 an hr most ppl would have a hard time paying rent. real talk. im against it b/c its just one industry out of MANY in nyc that's gonna get the raise and it still wont address the fact that most ppl struggle to pay their rent regardless. 15 an hr is barely cutting it in NYC. the real problem is the rent across the board, one group of ppl dont deserve a raise when theres plenty more who work harder and deserve it more. and besides these jobs are transitional in nature, not meant to be careers.

You have grown adult black men and women saying that people should get paid 7.25 because they didn't do well in school, in the midst of the worst recession since the 1930's. Sometimes I wonder how you can win with a mentality like this. If a brother works at fast food and demands higher wages, you say he deserves to get paid pennies, but if that same brother picks up a rock to get more than 7.25, hes a moron. Maybe that brother didn't do well in that racist ass school where the teachers just showed up for a cheque. Maybe he had a hungry mouth to feed. Maybe he didn't wanna sit back on welfare.

If McDonalds paid 15 a hr no one who works there would qualify and would be working somewhere else making min wage. Those peoole have to want more, if u want more money apply for a promotion. The turnover rate with fast food is stupid. They are always looking for managers and assistant managers.

I agree with you unfortunate I have learned as I have gotten older that people often aren't able to think outside the box they just go by what is feed to them and never truly develop there own opinion on an issue they just recycle what they hear and learn in school they should at least make $10 an hour

Can someone please tell me what society benefits from allowing people to get paid 7.25 an hour? What is the purpose of allowing wages so low that tax dollars have to subsidize their living? You realize that people who work full time at these low wage places get food stamps and welfare, right? Someone has to cover the bare minimum cost of living, and it's always the taxpayer.

Someone from the other side, tell me why this practice is ok, when in the 1960's the minimum wage was 10 dollars an hour?

this seems like its more about earning potential. an entry level position first year out of college type job is sometimes at $30K and even under. but the potential to earn a lot more than that comes with a college degree.

giving fast food workers $15/hr isn't going to give them the earning potential to ever make more than that.
