I was looking through a site for some academic scholarship foundation for african americans and all of the recipients were girls... i did not see one boy....


why do you think black girls are receiving more academic scholarships than black boys?

I have gotten scholarships for every level of education I ever got, I'm a black male and in all the programs I saw black men and women.
So from my personal experience I don't see what you are saying.

That said we know more women go to college than men, so you might just see a reflection of that split

Let's be honest, a lot more black women are focusing on education than black men, I'm the only black guy in one of my AP classes while there are seven black chicks in a class of thirty.

well I can only speak from my experience, I go to a pretty mixed school (black kids, white kids, and hispanic), but most black guys in my school are focused more on gangs and becoming a rapper than education.

Anyways, there's no real agenda here, except that our ladies do better in school then our men do. I saw it with my own eyes growing up.

The educational system isn't really geared to benefit black men in the first place tbh and this is coming from someone who stayed in school most of my life.
