Only blacks do that "diverse" thing. c00n kids will go to UGA over an HBCU, not because it is a world class research university but because they want "diversity", get to the school and see these whites want no part of them, and they literally form their own school within the school with all blacks hanging together. Go to any white school and you will see blacks are forced to create their on sub social scene because the whites want nothing to do with them unless they are athletes. And Stone Mountain/Lithonia could have been the truth, but blacks didnt build anything besides wing spots, soul food spots and car washes. Those areas got hit hardest by the mortgage fraud and stuff + people pushed out the old hoods were pushed there so you have a ton of section 8 renters living in neighborhoods not taking care of the properties/janky landlords.

The bolded/underlined is 100% truth!

I went to the University of Pittsburgh. Out of a school of almost 50,000 people...I had TWO friends in that school. TWO.

Even the black athletes looked down on me...which I why I had no respect for them fukking c00ns.

IMO unless you have a full ride where you dont have to pay one dime or you are a part time student who is a commuter, I prefer PWIs for Grad School more so than going to one for undergrad. Thats just me though.

I believe the goal is for Cities to be completely hipster/1% type, while the outer burbs is where all the blacks/crime is, and being that the crime wouldn't be in the city it won't even be a PR issue as ATL, NYC, LA,etc can brag about non existent crime while the burbs are war zones. I think non blacks who can't afford to live in Cities will continue to move out to more rural exburbs ie. Woodstock in GA.

Pretty much. You go to any other city in the world and its the wealth/rich in the city and economic status moves down as you move further out. In the U.S. its the exacted opposite and best believe those white boys want their cities back. Its kinda sad once you think about because even if we do fix the inner cities we'll be pushed out in about 10 yrs having to start all over again. Im starting to see why ownership is so important in a capitalist society.

The fact is we don't have the money collectively to do it.
Also we would be selling out our brothers and sisters that don't habe the income we have.
Apparently black people have trillions in spending power...but where does that go?

420 BILLION went to the black church alone...and where did that go?

I swear, it's like we collectively are still playing checkers while everybody else BEEN playing chess.

I Remember Umar Johnson was like in Philly Blacks spend around 3 billion annually during the month of December for consumer goods. Dont know how true that is but it makes you think.

Section 8 people are slowly moving into the hipster areas now as development has stalled somewhat and the hippies aren't moving into those areas fast enough.

If every black person in the usa made 40k a year we would have a trillion in spending power.
but that is not the fact. don't listen to whites when they use numbers.

I would If I could get a salary paying job that would allow me to afford those Condos and town homes.

I don't believe in living above my means to get an "experience".

Best believe I can wait when a better opportunity arrives

It seems mainly White people do the whole Urban Pioneering thing, why dont young well to do blacks jump on the same wave? I know in Atl there are parts of SW ATL that is being "gentrified" by Middle Class blacks, but it still pales to how whites are gentrifying every other part of the city.

For places like Harlem, BK, parts of LA, etc. Why do you think middle class blacks abandon these areas, then get mad when Whites set up shop?

I agree. But people here will probably type paragraph after paragraph of excuses. Black people are about dat NON-ACTION.

How many Black people are in the middle-class/upper-middle-class and not living paycheck to paycheck?
How many of them also don't have ties to a specific area and can move to a gentrifying area?
Its really not that many, all gentrified areas are, are over-priced fake-culture hubs full of mediocre restaurants.
And not many of us can afford to move into high-rent, high-price property areas.
Its sad, and we need a major economic boost, but not much progress can be made if we can't hold onto more money and property.
