Eastern religions are based on ancient african religions..the naga who were black Buddhists lived in Cambodia

They dealt with the serpent which means life and death and that came out of egypt

In those "Black Buddah" threads people tried to to make this claim but @GetInTheTruck

pretty much shut down. Where's the evidence for this?

Yep. The Dharmic religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism) aren't based on any strict rules or laws. There aren't rules that say you have to pray x amount of times, dress a certain way or etc. The only thing that might be really be a problem is the vegetarian diet, but only Jains strongly adhere to that. All Hindu's and Buddhists aren't vegetarian.

Meditation isn't easy and asceticism is hard to adhere to in an anxiety driven, consumption society.

Puerta Medusa.
Racist beliefs such as? The caste system is socially based. Indian Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and etc have them as well.

Not in India, only Hindu people follow their "varna" system.

Nah, I'm pretty sure now that that's a huge misconception.

Buddhism is a great discipline, I'm interested in it's teachings.

In their religion they refer to people by a "varna system" such as the "Brahmin" and "Sudra" people. They're big on karma and believe that being born dark skinned means you were evil in your past life and living this life as an untouchable is your karma.

Hinduism teaches that anyone born into a lower caste or an Untouchable is being punished for the sins committed in his past life. If such a person is calmly resigned to his fate and lives rightly, he will be elevated in caste in his next life. This premise tends to make the members of the lower castes and the untouchables submissive to the terrible economic and social conditions under which they live.

I don't know everything but you can look into it if you're interested. I may be wrong but I doubt it. :yeshrug:

Yeah there really is no such thing as "Hinduism" too which I find cool.

There are the Vedas, Bhagavad Gitas, Upanishads etc all sorts of anthologies and trilogies that have sort of the same characters with regards to the religion but all take a different perspective and form of thinking. Very deep and interesting stuff. I would call Hinduism a culturo-religious phenomenon rather than simply a religion. There is even a monotheistic line of Hinduism which I find to be astounding.

Asceticism isn't a requirement though.Meditation isn't easy but it's not extremely hard either. A short 5 minute increment of meditation in the lotus position shouldn't be too hard for anyone to do unless they're physically unable.

All religions are based on Ancient African religions.

I hear this claim but where is the evidence? What African religion has similar ideas and beliefs with Buddhism?

I was the one that made the Thread a few years ago in higher learning..he's never shut anything down..the evidence is in the history and photos

All those images were drawn years after The Buddha was born. The Buddha was born in what is present day Nepal......he wasn't African.

Not in India, only Hindu people follow their caste system.

False.

Being born with dark skin is not a curse..that is a flat out lie. Krishna who is one of the most popular Hindu deities is black, along with Kali. I'll address the varna system in a later post.

Horus --------> Jesus --------> Buddha

Africa had religion for 1000s of years before humans migrated, d you seriously think those oral tales were being told by migrants? You aren't going to find text pre 5000 BC so of course not a lot of evidence.

There is no Muslim Caste system tho :usure:

I see the point you're making though. There is an intertwine between cultural norms and religion.
