Im watching the Cavs vs Thunder game on NBC and I noticed that it's 720P in 2015 are you telling me that the major TV networks still aren't 1080P...With that being said unless you just want bragging rights their is not enough content out there to invest in a 4K HDTV...

And fukk a Curve HDTV.

not only that but factor the probability that we will be watching tv on vr/ar headsets in a couple years and not on a screen in our living room.

Alot of channel networks are not 1080p, some have 480p

Theres no need for a 4K tv

fact. they're selling 4k tvs for like 8,000 dollars when there's no 4k compatible programming out.

my vizio 4k tv can upscale content to 4k tho. still not as good as native 4k content which is rare, but it's pretty impressive nonetheless.

It's not 4K it may just look a bit better...It's like my Blue ray player that upscales...It's minor.

I don't even think based on minor research that 4k is the next level..You already copped but I'd recommend anyone else to either get a nice 1080P model, or find a sell on a 4K....if not your pouring jelly.

i remember i copped a 720p hdtv back when they first came out instead of a 1080p set because of this same reason

fast forward to over a decade later and nothing has changed

NOBODY broadcasts 1080p

most networks are 720p and a couple are 1080i

from what ive read thats never gonna change either
