Why can't Black politics produce a Black version of Zohran Mamdani?

Why don't we see Black progressives especially on the local level? We get Muriel Bowsers who are basically republican light.

I ask this because in Atlanta the race for city council president we have a corporate dem Black woman running against a clone of Zohran.

She's pro public safety, pro corporatist, republican light and he's a progressive that is probably bad on immigration.

Why can't we get a Black progressive that will work on behave of Black Americans?

Why is Black politics so damn terrible right now?

The ADOS movement is the only sliver of hope we have to get people that align with our interests.

Black progressives, like most progressives, get shunned by libs.

The only Black democrats that make any motion are the ones who prop up captailism. There are no progressive capitalists in America.

Actually we don't know what or who Mamdani is going to turn out to be. So perhaps its wise to wait and assess midterm. Eg. Lots of people had high hopes for Adams in NYC and look at he turned out . Couldn't even run for a second term on his own ticket.

As far as Mamdani goes. It's easy to talk the talk when you don't wear the crown

Ok I finally understand what the O/P meant when he made the black men should start a CK tour to combat the black women narrative thread

He post bad faith questions that he already have an agenda to. A lot of posters will take the bait and engage in your bad faith debate, just like the college kids did with CK.

Salute to the hustle, maybe you can make some bread like he did before, you know what

There's Brandon Johnson (the current mayor of Chicago). He's a progressive.

However, he's been a disaster lol.

Yeah Brandon Johnson is the probably the best example I don't like his handling of the immigration issue but he's been one of the most progressive Black politicians we have had the last few years.

Black Empowerment
OP youre asking why a system that at its founding was designed to keep us as a labor underclass, actively discourages our involvement as a people (to the point of violence historically), and requires the blessing of racist oligarchs (local and national) is not producing black political leaders?

We had some in the 60s and they literally killed almost all the ones that were effective.

Barack Obama was our taste of getting close to the political levers of power, and you see the cultural revolt it caused in "mainstream America". It will never happen in again.
