Are black LIberals being dishonest about abortion? Aren't we all in agreement as to why black women get abortions? It's not like anyone's gung-ho about it.

Abortion should be a fundamental right for a whole host of reasons

Curtailing abortion on the surface is a class issue. More social safety nets for black women and young black families. More jobs, job training, and free education so black men don't have to engage in the illegal economy. Of course racism overlays all of this, so there's no market or social incentive among the broader society to see black people prosper. The right doesn't want black babies aborted but they don't want to see them prosper either.

That has nothing to do with what i said.

The reason kids are in school to give them a baseline education to navigate the world. Nothing is stopping you or I from going beyond that at home for our kids.

But for our society as a whole having as many people educated is good instead of a large portion of young adults reading at a 5th grade level like it was 100 years ago.

This is part of the problem.

Abortions happen for numerous reasons. Sometime people do want the kids but their body or timing isn’t allowing them.

The way these laws are constructed it’s going after a moral assumption only.

Why go after a doctor? They aren’t roaming the streets to kill kids. They are simply advising their patients.

I’ve seen dentist straight up advise unnecessary surgery and nothing happens to them.

I reject the premise that its about sanctity of human life, if that was the case this folks will be ardently against the death penalty which multiple studies have shown have sent innocent folks to be executed as punishment, one innocent life lost alone for a crime not committed as a disgrace.
Its about control. The moment this kids are born same conservatives want to cut welfare programs, school lunch programs, defund schools, they want to make it harder to receiver social benefits, they basically turn the child destitute or a high degree of being because the will be in poverty.

It has everything to do what you said because I know 1st hand you have parents who don't value the education of their children. So no matter what is taught in school, some parents will not reinforce it. Thats just the reality. You can only make sure you're doing your part and make sure your house is well aware of their options and what are the consequences of making choices.

I should have been more specific. After viability, yes I think it's killing a child. Between 12 and 20 weeks, I believe it's tragic, but possibly necessary. Before 12 weeks, it's much more understandable.
