none of these social media sites stick around

the concept is too easily duplicated. there will always be something cooler and better

The creator of Myspace knew that Facebook was becoming a real threat and eventually Myspace would become a thing of the pass. He sold it to a news group for 150million i believe, but the news group didn't market Myspace and it eventually led to its downfall.

TOO much customization...its why android will fail...
I don't know about android failing but I agree with the too much customization. I originally thought I would want something like that back in the day for my device but sometimes it's just too much. I prefer iOS at least for now.

If Myspace had better quality control (standardized pages with limited customization, verify musicians like itunes, and some way to report and remove spammers) it would have a better chance of still being around. But thats the nature of the internet. Facebook is falling off too, and its getting dangerously close to that turning point where its no longer in style and everyone stops using it.

Blackplanet was truly the format for other sites,
I even had a page on there back in 1999,
I did not have an Xanga or MySpace until 2005.
never used black planet because it seemed like a stew of VD :scusthov:

just listening to dudes talk about the site and them finding out they often fukked the same girls, or knew people who did. but myspace was good to us, friends. just put in ya zip, click 5 mile radius, then dine :banderas: having a profile tracker gave me an unfair advantage
