MySpace tried to be everything to everyone and it didn't work, cause Facebook came along and did every aspect of social networking better than MySpace. People didn't care about all the extra bullshyt. What they really wanted to do was just connect with friends, share pictures, etc. Facebook provided an easy way to do all that.

BUT...THE FACT that FB is gonna have to realize is they are clearly heading down the same path as MySpace. I believe in 5 years Facebook will be obsolete. It's not "cool" anymore cause everyone's mom, dad, grandma, aunt, etc. is on that shyt now. Young people today are not fukking with Facebook in any way shape or form. My little sister and my little cousins either don't even have a FB, or they have one and never go on it. Teens today are all fukking with Twitter and Instagram over Facebook.

Facebook is falling off pretty quick too... just not as quick as MySpace.

What saves facebook like someone else said is facebook integration within apps and games and shyt

but other than that hardly any one I know really use facebook like that anymore.. theyve moved on to instagram.. which is ironic cause instagram is pretty much almost hwat facebook was when I first got on facebook in 2008... just people posting pictures and liking them and commenting on them..

these companies gotta understand people like simple and basic shyt... This is why google+ will never ever take off, ever. The features are good n shyt but aint no one got time for that shyt really.. most people do this shyt while mobile anyway

That's true. But it's not like people are actually leaving facebook in droves. It's still rising because we still yet have to see another innovative social network to appeal to the masses the way Facebook did to Myspace. People only stay on Facebook nowadays because everyone's on it, not necessarily because they like the site. The only way to beat facebook now is if the other social networks that have potential to be better than facebook just need to have their marketing and word of mouth better than facebook. That's simply it.

It's the same way how Samsung manages to sell so much Galaxy phones despite there are obviously better Android phones out there. They market the hell out of their phone in a way that appeals to the consumer.

Instagram is part of Facebook now. That fact alone already ensures that Facebook never falls off like Myspace for awhile longer.

And Google+ was never shyt to begin with. I don't know anybody that actually uses it. shyt is full of 35+ year old tech geeks.

Myspace's peak was way better than Facebook's IMO - getting to pick your own songs and even just searching for them was :blessed: Facebook's fall will come I'm sure of it - they've already messed with way too many things (chat, messaging, so much random spam, ads, timeline) and it's starting to look dated. One of the main reasons I still check in with Facebook - is because of all the family I have on there and some of my friends that live out of state and such. There's also a couple of feeds on there that I subscribe too that still provide me with good pics and memes. But Facebook has been pretty boring for some time now - when it comes to Myspace it was never boring to me.

my bad 580 Million
tom is still living that life..he's in a different country every few DAYS... posting sick pics on instagram.

facebook already did fall off after all the hoodrats joined with corny profile names. theyre so lucky they bought instagram. my feed is like 10% active..same stupid people..everyone spends all their time on instagram.. some on twitter too.. but they both don't do everything that facebook does theyre too specialized to fully end it.. and i think people are too lazy to jump ship at this point(word to g+)

Honestly bruh people already have left FB in droves. Now by that I mean.. yes, everyone still has a actual FB profile, but how many people actually update it or regularly check it? Young people under 18 are not on FB at all. Even if they have a profile, they never check it. None of my teenage relatives are ever on FB.

shyt, when I look at my newsfeed right now, it's nothing but some bullshyt. Updates on people's Farmville or whatever games, Spam posts from different pages I've liked, my older relatives or fat bytches sharing those those "inspirational saying" pictures.

FB is at the stage MySpace was at before it died. And it's not gonna be any one thing that takes FB's place. People are all on Twitter/Instagram/Vine and I'm sure more shyt will come out too.

Myspace eventually just got OLD and everybody wanted to be cool and migrate over to facebook.

Now facebook is getting OLD and is a lot less active. What's next?

the only thing saving facebook from an inevitable fall similar to myspace is the fact that they bought instagram, but either way young people of today arent fukking with facebook like they did say 2 years ago, with the rise of twitter and the fact that nikkas whole families including great aunts and shyt have fb pages people have been gearing away from facebook, its looking like myspace in 09 if u ask me :manny:

and thats exactly why they bought Instagram. To help keep traffic flowing thru facebook. Even it means the only time someone is on facebook is to share a picture from Instagram.
