No problem with kicks in a fight. I just hate to see someone kick or hit someone who is on the ground who has clearly lost the fight

Because most people can't defend against it or navigate around it, which makes it a really good weapon to use in a street fight (if you know what you're doing)
A dude I went to HS with would bite, grab nuts, scratch - anything to win. And I saw him do that shyt during the play roughhousing we’d do in the halls between classes or after school so I can only imagine what he would’ve done if he was ever pushed in a real fight and didn’t have access to his usual knife or sharp ass pencil or whatever he’d have on him.

I prefer Muay Thai more because of the traditions and style. And I think gyms are easier to find. I'll look more into Dutch style kick boxing, it's nothing I haven't heard of.

That's fukked up if it's just play fighting but fair tactics if somebody attacks you in the streets.
I'm not the aggro type, don't go looking for fights. Somebody wants to fight me, I'd try to de-escalate or escape. If I can't do either then I'm fighting like goons from Streets Of Rage.
