Why did people get upset when you throw kicks in fights?

I think this is mostly a hood thing where people really expect you to square up and purely box or you're a bytch ass nikka
I remember kicking was seen almost like a desperation move. if somebody kicked in a fight the whole crowd would probably start laughing at your ass
I remember a dude tried to kick me and slipped and i got a free stomp on his head from that :banderas:

Edit:
I think some people in here talking about doing what you got to to survive are thinking of random encounter fights like if you fight some random bum at the gas station
Even in jail fights there are certain "rules" to fighting. Any fight thats planned against someone you know on some level with either the neighborhood or crews standing there watching going have rules
Like if you try to bite somebody lips off in a fight dudes ain't just going stand there like "he doing what he got to survive :hubie:" . People going think you a bytch, break it up and you might lose points/respect even if you were winning

The Truth
I prefer Muay Thai more because of the traditions and style. And I think gyms are easier to find. I'll look more into Dutch style kick boxing, it's nothing I haven't heard of.
Muay thai is closer to boxing and specifies on low kicks and knees… thats why i fux with it. Very practical in a fight against one guy or many guys

Manny Plankqiao did Muay Thai

I did TKD… it’s good for training, footwork, and kick defense but no way did i ever use it in a real fight. Just boxing… I did knee nikkas here and there tho

Yeah it's a hood thing. They won't be laughing once you get the easy knockout and you'll be the alpha male of the group.

My initial question was from the stand point of a Dutch style muay thai kickboxing practitioner.

Yall really just make up scenarios to be mad about:mjlol:

Who the fukk is mad about someone kicking in a street fight:deadmanny:

You should actually want people to kick because the average person is an untrained fighter and them kicking is making their base unstable and easier to defeat

One kick to the shins will end a majority of street fights. Your power and footwork is gone after that. That's why Muay Thai so deadly. However, I'd also take up wresting or Judo, because unlike most folks, we understand there are no rules in street fights.

I study grappling now. A mix of freestyle wrestling and brazillian jujitsu. I wouldn't want to take a fight to the ground but I'm glad I know what to do when I'm there.

Coli brehs think not kicking is honourable :mjlol:

We have 4 limbs it’s not boxing

the only dishonorable things are weapons, biting, eye gouges low blows and scratching

The rest is all game :yeshrug:
