How is Schultz a "white savior"? He explicitly says in the film that he is taking advantage of Django when they make the deal. Even though he is shown not to be a racist he explicitly acknowledges that he is taking advantage of the way blacks are viewed in his partnership with Django. Sandra Bullock's character in "The Blind Side" is a great example of "white savior", Schultz really isn't. Common sense will tell you that a black dude in Slavery era America would not be able to make the moves Django did without a white partner, that's not a 'white savior' thing, thats a logistics thing

Django was a boring character and schultz basically stole the show for most of the movie.

The truth is, Soloman wouldn't have been reunited with his family if it wasn't for his former colleagues, and the gatekeeper (Brad Pitt). I'm not sure what folks were expecting.

Saw Django for the first on Saturday, and that character that Samuel L played, offended me so much. I'm sorry but when it's comes to the issue of slavery, you don't do that to that character. That shyt was just downright disgusting and vulgar, and not even needed.
