I thought this was bullshyt.

But.

I have had Google Play for years. shyt is piff and sounds great.

My girl has Tidal HiFi. I played some music and was :ohhh:

Their HiFi is already much better than all other services, but they took it a step further with Master Quality (albums/songs that have the grey M next to it).

What is TIDAL Masters?
TIDAL has partnered with MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) to deliver guaranteed master-quality recordings directly from the master source - an audio experience that the artist intended.

What is the difference between HiFi quality and Master quality?

HiFi audio is a superior sound, but is still limited in its resolution—44.1 kHz /16 bit.

TIDAL has partnered with MQA to deliver something infinitely better: an authenticated and unbroken version (typically 96 kHz / 24 bit) with the highest-possible resolution—as flawless as it sounded in the mastering suite. And exactly as the artist intended it to sound.

I don't know if it's just me but I've noticed quite a few songs that I have on CD or download off Limewire back in the day sound a little different on Streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music then they sound on CD. For example I was listening to Hate Me now by Nas the other day on Apple Music and it sounded completely different then I remembered it sounding. So I ordered Nas I Am off of Ebay just to see if I was tripping and the CD version of Hate Me now sounds completely different then one you hear on streaming services. So why do quite a few songs sound different from what you hear from the CD vs streaming. Is it because of technology, are the songs remixed a little , is it remastering or is it something else.
Because they compress the files duh. CDs are 600mbs and a cd of mp3s or streams is like 50 mb

Na vinyl quality is unmatched. It’s just that people don’t have the equipment most importantly a quality needle. Bass on vinyl is so clear and deep.
Kinda sucked tho bc those needles didn’t last long.
Only :old: cats like myself know tho
That's only true IF you are listening to old music. If you are listening to bass heavy music which most new music has, vinyl can't match digital

Too short talks about this in this interview

If more people start listening to 24 bit files, and producers/engineers start using up most of that space with some good bass, speakers are gonna really start knocking!
