Hmmmm I still find this to be a little bit unsettling even though you did qualify it properly... you can still properly qualify something and make a horrendous generalization. I can say a lot of black men are criminal ignorant thugs ... not all but a lot, and it would still be a terribly inaccurate statement due to the implications of the way you qualified it. And furthermore you talked about you "knowing a lot of them"... i usually agree with you on everything but do you not think that you are in that statement doing exactly what chris b or the other trolls do with black women?
Hell freaking no it is not the same. I stand by my statement that a lot (I didn't say most, I didn't say the majority) of black men are not living up to their potential (which is also a big different from saying that ain't ish which what Chris would say). Calling black men ignorant thugs is an inflammatory statement that I would not agree with; however, you would not be lying is you said a lot of black men have gone to jail. Your a lot and my a lot may be different, but don't act like I said most or even the majority with my original statement.
Also, the other statement about "knowing a lot" is based on a question that someone asked me about the type of black men that I knew. Spinoza specifically asked:
Out of all the black men you know how many realistically want to be a rapper or athlete? I don't think the problem is that bad.....plus a lot of those people who want to be rappers wouldn't be doing shyt otherwise.
Was I not suppose to answer the question about who I knew by describing who I knew? The quote you just made and the answer to Spinoza's question are TWO different statements and can not and will not be combined. Again, the statement about who I know was based a questions that someone asked me about my experience and I answered it based on my experience.
ETA: In addition, I even differentiated between my hometown and another state I lived in.
