Em's vocab is AIGHT but that's not what makes him nice, he's not the extra wordy lyricist ala lupe, or even jay to a certain extent. He's never used a slew of "big words" he just has a rain-man type ability to rhyme shyt, even shyt that shouldn't even rhyme.

The decent vocab that he does have to date probably had nothing to do with his upbringing. Read his book...watch that documentary and see what kind of people he was coming up under, these weren't people who were really nurturing his intelligence. Anybody who's that into rhyming will naturally look for more words to use, fukk outta here acting like he came custom fitted with extra words in his head because he's white.

Im from Detroit. Em shock value wore off on us. Dude had the number 1 song in the country with one of those songs off recovery, but it was only a modest hit in his own city Em had potential to be top 5 but man u cant have two Nastradamuses in your catalog and be top 5

Encore is comparable...but Recovery is no nastradamus, he doesn't have two albums that bad...and I was one of the main people complaining about it. I think it gets as much hate as it does because the people who actually did like relapse wanted more of that, and were told they were going to get more and he all of a sudden veered off into making more of a top 40 album when people kept saying how it wasn't any real "singles" from the previous album...he is always kinda reactionary to his critics except he went from spitting back at them to actually pandering/trying to prove them wrong rather than just doing what he would rather do.

His music has aged horribly, he's sold out horribly, he couldn't produce for shyt. Lose yourself and the film are fukking trash. Don't even get me started on the negativity that this dude talked about either. Don't get me wrong, from time to time I'm inclined to hearing about pain or struggle but this guy literally talked about killing his own mother, burying people alive and other fukked up shyt.

His drug use which subsequently resulted in cancelling of tours and shows. His "retirement" facade and even thinking that faking a dead friends funeral was a good idea.

It's literally L after L with this guy, the only thing he's ever done is sell a lot of music. But then what is money when your music can't stand the test of time? They're not gonna bury you with it.
Tupac isn't even my own personal GOAT but he's an icon and unlike Em was a conflicted soul with a message in his music that resonates with people around the world. Eminem will always be trailer trash that makes negative rap music and takes drugs. But I'm sure we should just forget all that and credit him
