Well let's see...going into the season we were coming off a 4 - 12 year...with our aging QB who had already missed a season due to injuries hurt AGAIN...our starting running back from last season hurt...our top 10 receiver missing most of the year with an injury...and a 3rd of our already bad defense being suspended over weed and/or drugs...
And at the end of the season...we found our new QB...a rookie...our new running back...a rookie...both who played and should continue to play at an MVP level...we are going to have the opportunity to get rid of our aging always hurt QB...who we would owe 72 million over 3 years if we keep him on the team...our top 10 receiver who was starting to get hurt a lot was relatively healthy this year and started looking like a top 10 receiver again...
We have the chance to replace the worst and oldest member of our offensive line (free) with a young player who is much better (collins)
It's highly likely our second round pick linebacker...who was rated the number one linebacker in the draft before his injury...actually plays next year...
So...yeah...we went from 4 - 12...to 13 - 3...while putting ourselves in position to get rid of two of our oldest players who are not doing much of anything for us anymore...shedding about 80 million in salaries over 3 years...replacing them with younger, better, cheaper players...and it's highly likely that our number one rated college linebacker plays...
Considering all that...I would say the future is bright for dallas...
shyt getting Jaylon Smith back by itself is like having a top 10 pick in the draft and drafting a player who perfectly fits a need you have...

at the America's team shyt and turn the channel if they are discussed for too long/too many segments. That said, I don't see how there is any disputing that stance. They overachieved this year and came within two 50 yd FGs of the NFC Championship game AND they got an offense full of young studs. They get some good pieces for that defense (that are allowed to play
) and they are gonna be a problem...before Dak and Zeke's rookie deals expire.
