Well how about the Cowboys during the 2007-08 season when they were 13-3 with full of so-called promise annnnnd still got just one playoff win to since.

His teams always start off well because the previous coach was too hard nosed so the laxed style he brings with him always has his teams playing loose and carefree. Problem is that catches up with him everywhere he goes. The Cowboys were no different. Believe they were the most penalized team in his tenure. The playoff game against the Giants alone we had 13 penalties for 99 yards.

With that being said, the boys started off 3-1 that year before Romo got injured and we had to start Bradford Johnson, who was damn near 40. This was also the year Pacman beat up his body guard, TO and Witten almost came to blows, and Tashard Choice got heavy playing time. Still were 1 win away from a playoff berth.

This team is different in every aspect because we have our nucleus on rookie deals. 2007, Romo got paid 62 million. When we trade/release Romo we can spread his remaining cap hit over the next 2 years freeing up quite a bit. You also gotta consider this team was led by two rookies which is unheard of.

Anything can happen. Injuries, bad luck, etc. But every cowboys fan has reason to be excited especially considering the better QB's are on the back end of their careers.

....bruh...Dak, a rookie qb led them back twice in a highly competitive game...you have to give him credit where it is due as well as Zeke....off the strength of those two alone the 2007-2008 season is in no way a good comparison nor will it end up the same....

Reality is the NFL is a year to year business, especially with a trash ass defense and a 2nd year QB.

They just lost a brutal home game off a bye with homefield throughout the NFC playoffs, let them grieve.

I will say that it takes a lot of effort just to get back to this point. All offseason, OTAs, minicamps, preseason, a long 16 game schedule, winning enough games to get a bye... a lot of things have to go your way. No major injuries, continued growth from your young guys, it's not a guarantee.

The best part is that they figured out Dak can be their QB for the next 10 years. Most of the year they didn't ask Dak to do much, but down 18, they asked him to do a lot and he delivered. A lot of respect for that kid

While I think Dak will continue you grow and develop you gotta take that last statement with a grain of salt cause it was GB's defense

His knee is firing. He himself said he could have played in the playoffs with a brace but the brace isn't needed going forward. Said he'll be at OTA's in May which was the plan all along.

Dallas's biggest issue isn't the talent they have, it's the division they play in. The NFC East hasn't had a consistent dominate division leader in a while and all the teams have just been taking turns in the top spot. Dallas had it this year and failed to doing anything with it. Eagles with an easier schedule probably take it next year if Wentz takes the next step.

Nothing is guaranteed in football. Injuries happen, free agency, teams adjust to you by studying you in the off season and coaching and coordinator changes.




You would think that 4-12 season after that playoff run in 2014 would humble them but nah.

I would understand if y all made it to the super bowl or at least the nfc chamionship game but Y all nikkas got 2 playoffs wins in the past 20 years.

because it is. I understand that there is nothing guaranteed in the NFL because teams rise and fall rapidly but you'd be a fool to not see that after years of mediocrity Dallas finally has something here. That core is less than 30 and it got to 13-3 being led by 2 rookies. They have time to grow. Zeke behind that line will still flourish. Hell, any RB put back there will. Everyone on the O Line is less that 30 with the exception of Free, but there's 2 players capable of taking his spot. Dak is the wildcard, but he's on the right track and he already proved alot of people wrong. He isn't some game manager, he's legit. The pieces are there and will be for a while

This is like looking at the 91 Cowboys, 04 Steelers and 12 Seahawks and saying "these guys will never be back, its over"
