Why do people call of work for being sick?

Some people have jobs where they get payed while being sick lol. Also when working retail , if I could afford to take the hit in my pay and I felt miserable enough or just really tired it was a price I would pay to stay home laying around.unless it's excruciating pain why call off for being sick? I rather still get payed and work slow then not get payed at all. Just seems dumb.
I hate people that show up to work sick. fukk around and give me your cold

Ain't nobody tryin to get indicted.
I get paid to stay home when I'm sick. I also have a nurse that'll do house calls that my job pays for. Anytime I call out from work I still get paid.unless it's excruciating pain why call off for being sick? I rather still get payed and work slow then not get payed at all. Just seems dumb
