It's pretty simple, show me the artists that have all black fanbases and I guarantee you they all have a high degree of ignorance. Why do the ghetto love nikkas like Webbie and Gucci Mane so much? Why don't the vast majority of nikkas in the hood check for socially conscious rappers like Mos Def? Answer that question in an astute manner and I'll agree with you that everything I said was garbage. I don't think you can present a logical explanation to this.

Because music is entertainment,people don't listen to music to be enlightened,learn or be preached to,in NO genre is this the case outside of gospel and socially conscious rappers....for whatever reason you point out black people as being the only ones who seek entertainment from they music....Dr Malachi York said "never supersaturate your class with more entertainment than truth,never supersaturate it with more truth than entertainment"...for whatever reason many socially conscious rappers have not realized this or just lack,and that's why in essence a Pac,Plies,Too Short, Boosie is more effective as a conscious rapper than socially conscious rappers...matter of fact nikkas was feelin Kanye pretty heavy off his first record when he came out around my way because he did that very well,without the gangsta aspect of it,so u cant even say the gangsta shyt is necessary,just know how to entertain.......dont blame socially conscious rappers shortcomings on black people as if same rules shouldn't apply to us cuz we black...we want are music to be ENTERTAINMENT too,same reason we dont want to go to a church that is boring and listen to a boring preacher....u dont get a pass from not being entertaining just because you got a message.
