Cell phone companies give you chances to pay late, set up arrangements or change the due date.
Car payments - can be changed

My homie works for Yamaha and got paid quarterly. Luckily he made over 6 figures

I had a job where you could pretty much choose whether your payday was Wednesday/Thursday/Friday. A lot of people would choose Wednesday to get paid "faster", even though you still have to wait two weeks for the check no matter what day it comes.
Thats when I realized people aren't thinking rationally at all, just want that check ASAP so they can spend it.
