I don't even think its just people 30 and over. I'd say 21-25 is when you see that light fade.

I'm 25, going 26, working on a website for a review tomorrow. I'm very glad to say this isn't the case for me.

Maybe, but I know it's mostly job related rather than just kids. I grew up in a small city where jobs pay ok, but not great. I would only make around 40k if I stayed in my hometown, but can make 60k in a bigger city 2hrs away. I chose the latter and pretty much my circle did too. We all graduated college and it wouldn't be wise to just waste our degrees earning a small salary in our hometown.

Yeah I don’t see nothing wrong with enjoying your 20’s, that’s when most people really start to live life...but I see people who are fine with working dead end jobs and partying rather than boosting their experience/credentials so they can make more money in their 30’s. To be honest bars and clubs get old once you hit 23-24

That's real. Enjoy your 20's, but still work hard towards a career. I stopped going out as much when I started recognizing bartenders

Alot of idealistics bs going on here...its like old vs young.... Let's just put it this way...life beats you up in your 20s and doesn't stop.
I'm 35.
Alot of people had big dreams in their 20s only for them to get crushed in their 30s and they end up becoming bitter and resentful because of it.
Alot of people thought their life was going to be one way in their 20s, only for it to be another way.
Alot of people thought you had to follow one specific life path to success and happiness, then when the time 30 hits, they realize they've been doing it all wrong because they aren't happy now.
Sometimes I think about how I even survived my 20s for real.
A bunch of my friends are dead and in jail now.
Then there are my friends and associates that I used to wyle out with in my early 20s that are all married with kids and have careers and houses and they look at me like I'm young meanwhile they look all beaten up by life, middle aged, out of shape etc.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say anymore, just live your life they way you want to, there is no set path to happiness or success. Just do you.

I don’t know anyone who fell apart at 30. Not sure why y’all still keep acting like 30 is knocking on death’s door. No, it’s not endless turn ups and carelessness of your 20’s but when you do turn up and have fun, it’s a lot better as most people have more money. People have young kids so it’s fun watching folks still be them while also raising kids...overall my 30’s been great

What hit me most was friends not being as close anymore. Friends get successful jobs, branch out, and move out-of-state..it's bitter sweet. It's also hard due to people starting their own families and ya'll just can't go out every weekend like it's been for years .

I wouldn't change it though, because I'm happy for all of our success.

That’s probably the hardest part, jobs and families, and distance depending on your circle, make it hard to connect as frequently. It’s especially hard for women as some women straight up turn into mom/wife and forget about their friends (and I’ve seen this bite some in the ass when them divorces happen...they realize they’ve isolated themselves and have no sense of who they are as an individual anymore)

You should be doing well/decent by the time the 30s roll around. You're going to realize how much life u really got left and keep pushing. My 20s were fun but I wouldn't want to relive them. In my 30s I set my life up for it to be pretty good til death.

I swear sometimes some yall nikkas come across so scorned. This was actually a dope thread on some real shyt that most cats are experiencing in one form or another as we all evolve in life.

When looking at instagram and twitter it seems like everyone is having more fun than you, having more sex than you, getting more money than you, traveling more frequently than you etc.

People only post the good stuff. never post the regular boring day in day out routines or when they have low moments so you ended up thinking well damn I fukked up in life when it's just an illusion you're comparing yourself to
