Yea they had a tv show that played music videos every Saturday. Idk if the whole station moved but I remember one of the main DJs Frank Ski moved to Atlanta. I actually didn’t even know that till I went to ATL back in like 2003 and saw him on a billboard. Frank Ski was a local celebrity and was a big player in the club scene. He was responsible for thisI remember the TV show they had. Didn't they move the whole station to Atlanta?

One of my aunts actually briefly dated him when I was real young. They met when she won the sexy leg contest he was hosting at a club

Yup WEAA. That hip hop show still exists every Friday nite. Radio sure was different. All those stations used to have mix shows every nite on weekends where they played all the dope shyt out at the time
I used to live at the Dox and hammerjacks when it went Black.I always fukked with House music too. 92.3 used to have a lil House on Sundays.
Then the House show on 88.9 on Saturdays.
I used to be one off them peoples going up the Paradox here and there![]()
Thread exposed everyone as flabbyheads. I'm flabby but by the time I came to DC Trouble Funk was old.
I coulda swore he had the morning show on 92Q for a while after V103. But I can’t remember if this was after V103 folded or he left before it foldedFrank is actually from Queens and was an old school Rap DJ hence his name. I remember they played that song in Baltimore a lot during B-more's old club music era.
The station in Baltimore was called V103 and the station in Atlanta was called V103. so that's why I assumed they just moved the station.
Yeah I don't remember because when V103 left I was young I watched the video show on Channel 45 by the time I started listening to 92Q V103 was long gone.I coulda swore he had the morning show on 92Q for a while after V103. I was never into House but I do remember 88.9 playing House on Saturday nites. Saturday afternoon it was reggae. Oldies in the morning. The hip hop show would have their anniversary show every spring and take over for 24 hoursI always fukked with House music too. 92.3 used to have a lil House on Sundays.

Yea breh the video show on Channel 45. It came on after Kung Fu Theater and before WWF SuperstarsYeah I don't remember because when V103 left I was young I watched the video show on Channel 45 by the time I started listening to 92Q V103 was long gone.
Low key I kinda liked 92Q's slow jam segment Love Zone way better than the orginator Slow Jam on WHUR
Yes they were. They would play everything and would have different DJs come up doing sets. Idk if they still do the anniversary or notThose 24 hour takeovers were incredible.
That was the thing they played the same damn songs. It was like Melvin Lindsey was still making the playlists.Yea breh the video show on Channel 45. It came on after Kung Fu Theater and before WWF Superstars
This thread is taking me back. And yea the Love Zone was dope. That chick LaDawn Black would have people calling in on the craziest topics like “guys call in if you ever let a woman toss your salad”. Then play a Monica slow jam
95.9 had the Quiet Fire with Lolo. Matter fact my parents kept a clock radio in the kitchen that they never turned off that played 95.9 24/7 at a very low volume. Only time the radio went off is when the power went out
96.3 had the original Quiet Storm but they played the same songs every nite. I remember they always played the Smokey Robinson song. 95.5 had a show hosted by that dude Adeemu. I think he ended up on BET. Actually I can remember when Big Tigger was on 95.5
Do you mean House or Club music?I was never into House but I do remember 88.9 playing House on Saturday nites. Saturday afternoon it was reggae. Oldies in the morning. The hip hop show would have their anniversary show every spring and take over for 24 hours
