I've wondered this as well.
Inb4 people with poor irresponsible parents attack OP instead of answering the question.

A lot of poor ppl dont necessarily plan on having children they just happen. I dont understand the mindset of evey individual struggling to survive but those I do know take life one day at a time and hope and pray for better days.

My friend and his wife both black, educated, making over 200k dont want children :mindblown:. This is Idiocracy in real life where the intelligent are dying out and being replaced by morons.

Guess we sterilize the broke, horny people and turn this into Children of Men :merchant:

If him and his partner make 30k each (assuming they are together) that is a decent amount to live on and raise a child, that being said as irresponsible as it may seem sometimes we can't put an income limit on procreation, because I can assure you there's people poorer than that doing more with less.

Maybe its extreme but it aint cool watching our best and brightest have like 1 or no children while those who have no business having children like 8

True, just that the cost of living is making people think twice before having kids.

What would happen if mad broke people found out it was biologically impossible to have children? What would they do? :ohhh:

I'm guilty of this. I had my son when I was making $10/hr. "It just happen", not everybody can wait until they make $75K or more a year to have kid(s). Now after I had my son I wasn't having anymore kids until I was making at least $60K a year. But I do see OP point though.

edit: o and that raw feeling :whew:

Thid question randomly popped up in my head while i was talking to a coworker of mine. He was talking about his new child about to be born. He was excited and rightfully so but i thought about our salary at this job and i was like :patrice: we only make like 30K a year. Me and him like the same age too. Why bring a kid into a situation like that? :ld:
Wow....first I'm shock....people on the coli making less than 60-70K a year. With how folks post on here...I'm thinking everyone is making 6 figures or close to that.

Anyway people still have multiple children because they don't think about what it takes to have kids and they don't factor if they are ready to have a child let alone multiple children. People don't take time to figure out if they are financially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually ready and able to reproduce.

Another reason is people think they can keep getting government assistance if they have multiple kids...especially women. Women can have kids out of wedlock and not receive any backlash or be held accountable and have to fend for herself. This is why women have kids out of wedlock with a bunch of deadbeats and can still be ok. They can get section 8, wic and food stamps and be ok.

Finally some have kids regardless of lack of income because they desire raw sex and don't want to use condoms and birth control. Folks prefer raw pusse and dyck.

And don't forget some families look down on people who are childless at a certain age. Crazy as it sounds...people will think something is wrong with u if u don't have a spouse and/or kids by a certain age...especially in the black community.

Who should regulate who is fit to have kids? And if money is the issue what amount? Maybe only people making 100k and over should be able to have kids.
I know you're talking sarcastically but I like this idea. Of course not 100k but I do believe there should be some sort of regulation on who can have kids. Especially physiological.

There was a story about lil while back about a mother who had a baby and threw him out the window, got pregnant again months later and threw that baby out the window as well.

Welfare, foodstamps & a big ass check during tax time :yeshrug:

This is the main problem. Some people think a child is a reward and not a responsibility. Of course the federal government rewards this by providing government funded programs paid for by the taxpayers. This is mostly the democrats. Instead of educating folks on proper birth control methods and financial knowledge. I understand in third world countries where resources may be scarce but not in the U.S. That's why the country is falling apart. Government doesn't know how to manage things and the money. It's easy to rely on other people's money to survive. Now I'm not saying that it's easy out there, but having multiple unnecessary kids is definitely not helping. Especially with the divorce rate so high and the chances of being a single parent even higher. Children cost way more than a tax refund check. Only the individual knows their limit of how many they can afford.
