That's a harsh way to look at it. Don't you see how they are exploited at the same time? And we should discern this whole welfare business.
FIRST OF ALL:
The vast majority of Section 8 houses, farms, factories, transporting services, and supermarkets, are owned by white people. So while it looks like the recipients are receiving "rewards", it is actually the people listed above who are benefitting the most from the welfare state.
SECONDLY:
Resources are scarce in America, thats why we have the situation we do now. Quality housing, education, food, and transportation all come at a premium. Lack of all of these things can hinder a persons socioeconomic mobility. Instead of saying poor people are whats wrong with America, its the higher ups who are overpricing EVERYTHING and putting profits over everything. If America was great, there would be no issue with housing and crime.
