Basically it’s 50% lotto genetics and 50% effort. Society is kinder to attractive people.

One of my friends met her ex whilst he was living on the street/couch surfing.

I asked her why she’s dealing with a bum and she said, “he looks like a young Ginuwine; once I fix him up watch how fine he’ll be.” :myman:

She kept him FRESH but he ended up in jail for hustling. Gotta have life skills :francis:

This right here is the issue. People treat you the way you allow them to treat you. It’s attitude and mindset.

Why do you struggle to make friends? Do you think they will judge you?

I think it comes from lack of purpose. A lot of men have no goals and nothing to take pride in. Like others have mentioned they aren't receiving the positive affirmations and feedback which IMO men need.

For example I sent out 'thank you' emails to some people who came to our site because we were short staffed last week. I sent it to 2 women initially because I had never met them. But there 2 men who also came out whom I met before. We don't have the greatest relationship but I decided to send them emails also.

One guy replied back that he really needed to hear that he was appreciated. I was kinda taken back. And made me realize I need to make sure I give more positive reinforcement especially to the guys.

So I sent a few guys on my team positive feedback and they were overly appreciative. It really made me realize that men aren't told how much their contributions are appreciated enough

I am going to do better

I don’t think it’s a case of not trying. I think some people think it weakens them to admit they have a problem. Also, sometimes the trauma runs very deep
