.So ud rather leave then help build up the community thats in prime territory.
This post is on point. I feel like anyone asking this question, I wish I could take them to Juneway Terrace in Evanston Illinois or Uptown and they see the type of shyt going on.This is a good question. Its not that bad if you're a single man just trying to do your shyt.
But at the same time it's kind of frustrating; mentally and emotionally. You see so many people struggling, people can't get jobs, people on drugs just to escape etc.. It's worse seeing kids growing up in such environments.
The hood wouldn't be that bad if you were living life in a vacuum
Inner.@BrokePhiBroke how is New Orleans set up? Are the hoods on the outskirts like some of these dudes say southern cities are made or is it inner city? If its inner city u can strike a deal while the irons hot.
one guy laughed at me because I said I was thinking about retirement. I cut him off the 3rd week of dating bc he literally was trying to tell me I'm nuts for wanting better. Like the mindset down here is fukkin retarded. Ignorance gets everyone's attention and people who are trying to make it or made out to look like something wrong with them. I miss that East coast grind (DMV) and progress mentality. Curious, where are these communities? I grew up in a well-to-do Chicago burb and in none of the burbs I know, people are not paying HOA. Although, that may be made up in taxes.
Plus @Hennessypapi the last thing you wanna do is put out so much money for property on top of loans and not know how to maneuver as far as paperwork, taxes, deeds, and all the logistics people don't talk about when owning.
You risk losing your property and still having to pay loans with interest and other undercover fees on top of having to rent out a place somewhere else.
If black people gonna get into the game we gotta cover every corner.
Random but there is a site called Khan Acadmey for anyone who wants to know about anything from finances to science. Utilize it.
Thanks for the advice. Right now im renting. I have a GI Vet loan on the table that offers up to 450k$ depending on the area regardless of credit. Im really thinking about getting something for cheap in a gentrifying area here in Miami. Wynwood was ghetto till its cleaned up now spots are going 500k$+. If u bought it for 100k and paid it off u wouls be set but too many just up and people left. Got a good job and said fukk it im not helping those I left behind. That disturbs me. So it aint shyt till whites validate it. Its also close to alot lf ammenities. I just wanna see people do better and cherish what they already have.
Do you personally know why they did not take on that responsibility? And did they say "I'm not helping" or did they make the best move to get right?Do you personally know why they did not take on that responsibility? And did they say "I'm not helping" or did they make the best move to get right?
I'm just trying to get a feel for what you expect most people to do, when even the majority of white people can't seem to take advantage of the situations you describe.
Besides that, who has 100k to put down, much less a gifted 450K loan? It seems you really downplay the lack of resources folks have, and they getting said resources
takes time, and quite often, relocation.
ur right.People have to want better for themselves. You can't want better for them. Thanks for the advice. Right now im renting. It's not about being defeatest. If you are in ground zero, you have to start somewhere. The same people who might be open to revitalizing an area might be the onesMaybe im expecting too much people to use commom senseur right.
Its been a while since I been in the trenches. Defeatist mentalities. Im way too optimistic for that.
Want blacks to stay in the hood after they get money...fix that problem first.
