Why do some black people praise Cheesecake Factory as if it's 5 star?

I've had cheesecake in this french joint at penn station that tasted very good...

But nikkas love feeling "big tyme"....So they automatically look at spots like the olive garden as something great..

chicken parmesean and those chicken sliders pretty good, but everything else is a crapshoot. i hate, HATE ordering bad food, puts me in a sour mood. they have no real specialty, besides that ball of mac n cheese

They are all on the same level and in the same category.... massive chain crap for people who dont know anything about food.

Pretty much any national restaurant chain is gonna be basura. Outback, Longhorn, Red Lobster, Applebees, Chilis, all of em. They are built to drive food down to as low a cost as possible while just being safe n tasty enough. No bueno

nikkas need Yelp. Support local business and eat at a local joint. shyts usually the same money and the food is much better.

Nothing is wrong with it. I just thing people eat at places like that because they don't know any better. I could find 10 spots in any city that shyts on cheesecake. I just find that people who eat in these places have no clue about where the good food is really at in their city they just know these chains due to marketing and hype

Its not about not knowing where better spots are its about familiarity, ease of access, "decent familiar food", and variety. Could you find a spot with 20 different cheesecakes on display, sure you may be able to find a bakery that can provide that. But does that bakery also have a bar? Does that bakery also have a food menu that just about anyone can find something they like on it? Does the bakery have seating that can cater to 1 person or 20 if need be? And finally is that spot centrally located so that almost anybody can reach it in 20 minutes?

Its not always about finding the absolute best restaurants in town and eating there. If its Saturday night and my wife has no earthly idea on what type of food she wants we can go to the Cheesecake Factory and she can make up her mind there because they have a little of everything. Its much better than sitting around 30 minutes and discussing whether we want seafood, Italian, Mexican, American, etc....
