Why do some black people praise Cheesecake Factory as if it's 5 star?

Actually, at least the one I go to in Wayne, has pretty good food, but for a lot of people it's good food at a reasonable price, it's a step up from Applebees, Fridays, but not as nice as a Ramsey or Ruth Chris.

BK got better burgers and onion rings (fukk fries ), Wendys got better chicken sandwiches and nuggets, KFC/Popeyes/Bojangles on that biscuit wave etc. There is nothing on McDonalds that they can say is the best. Popeyes and Bojangles have better fries too. nikkas just go to McDonalds cause they are scared to make decisions. "Lemme get a Big Mac with medium fries and a Dr Pepper".... Someone tell me please some dope spots to eat in Philly, just moved here not too long ago and I'm bout that foodie life.

It depends on what kind of food you like

Lolitas is like my favorite right now if you like mexican (13th near chestnut/market) good drinks and the food is good.
Its taco trucks around Northern Liberties and Girard Train station and their brisket tacos are delicious. Wednesday- Sunday they are there.
PYT....burgers are pretty good I got a philly cheesesteak burger from there.
Federal Donuts..Donuts are good and the chicken is really tasty
Terakawa Ramen...Ramen is cheap and flavorful.
Fogo De Chao...all you can eat meat its a chain has about 20 locations in US and South America I think.
Gyu Kaku....Japanese BBQ nice place to take a chick and you cook the food yourself they bring it to the table and you cook it on the grill.
Greens Eggs Cafe....The Kitchen Sink and the Red Velvet Pancakes are really good.

It all depend on what you like though i been to all those places multiple times the food is good.

Nah, Mcdonalds aint goin anywhere. As long as that shyt's cheap, it's here to stay. I don't know how much Big Macs cost because I havent had one in years but trust me, they still have an affordable menu regardless of what we think about the food.

They admitted that they made a mistake because they were duped into thinking it was a high class spot. I'm tryna open their eyes and help them see the world differently and try new things.

Its not about not knowing where better spots are its about familiarity, ease of access, "decent familiar food", and variety. Could you find a spot with 20 different cheesecakes on display, sure you may be able to find a bakery that can provide that. But does that bakery also have a bar? Does that bakery also have a food menu that just about anyone can find something they like on it? Does the bakery have seating that can cater to 1 person or 20 if need be? And finally is that spot centrally located so that almost anybody can reach it in 20 minutes?

Its not always about finding the absolute best restaurants in town and eating there. If its Saturday night and my wife has no earthly idea on what type of food she wants we can go to the Cheesecake Factory and she can make up her mind there because they have a little of everything. Its much better than sitting around 30 minutes and discussing whether we want seafood, Italian, Mexican, American, etc....

No it isnt.

Cheesecake Factory has food from like 100 different countries and none of them are exceptional.

I rather spend 30 minutes finding a higher quality restaurant

For the same reason white people looked at planet Hollywood ( plz tell me there are no more left) as high end. It's the window dressing not the food that matters to people who want to be seen more than having a great meal. I've been to hole in the wall joints that's served Michelin star quality food.

My post only applies to middle class people who want to be seen as upper class people. If poor people who want to be seen as middle class, etc. Just my take.

It's not like cheesecake looks like Applebee's or some shyt. All of their restaurant are really big, very nice on the inside with a good atmosphere

Also many restaurants don't have the variety and portions of cheesecake

For the $$$$$ though now u can get so much more. $8-10 a meal, u can go to Applebees or w/e and have a "nice" meal. You can get a Chipotle burrito or 3 cajun filet biscuits (they serve em all day ). The only reason to eat at McDonalds is if u are on the road and there are literally no other alternatives
