Why do some black people praise Cheesecake Factory as if it's 5 star?

For the same reason white people looked at planet Hollywood ( plz tell me there are no more left) as high end. It's the window dressing not the food that matters to people who want to be seen more than having a great meal. I've been to hole in the wall joints that's served Michelin star quality food.

My post only applies to middle class people who want to be seen as upper class people. If poor people who want to be seen as middle class, etc. Just my take.

For the longest time I didn't even know what a cheesecake factory was. Every girl I've known absolutely loved cheesecake, they would look at the catalogs and I swear they were getting aroused by it. I literally thought a cheesecake factory was exactly what it sounded like it was.

For the $$$$$ though now u can get so much more. $8-10 a meal, u can go to Applebees or w/e and have a "nice" meal. You can get a Chipotle burrito or 3 cajun filet biscuits (they serve em all day ). The only reason to eat at McDonalds is if u are on the road and there are literally no other alternatives

You're right on that. I mistook the hate as in hating on specific people not just an attitude. They could really enjoy it. I put in the planet Hollywood example because they're the same as the cheesecake factory in that they overcharge for the quality of the food, hence why I said ppl pay for the experience. They sell their mass produced cheesecakes frozen in same club for 11$. shyt is overpriced so yeah I guess I hate on that.

People were always talking up that place when I first moved out here. Hit it once and I was like "this is it?" Gets way more love than it deserves. Maybe there's some magic item on the menu I didn't order...

Here in Atlanta they flock to 2 Urban Licks and Poor Calvins.

I've been to both and they are good but I'd rather stick to less expensive yet better food spots. Either way if i want to take someone to dinner at a decent environment with a nice setting I'd rather go to Houston's or even Fogo de Chao (Brazilian steakhouse)
