Why do some black people praise Cheesecake Factory as if it's 5 star?

ay yo brehs, I'm gonna be In Syracuse this weekend, recomend me a dope place to get some good food. I don't want to have to resort to Chili's again (even though me and the wife love that shyt...don't hate me)
Last few times I was there we hit up that Dinosaur BBQ joint and it was fukkin dope. But I wanna check out something new..

Any Syracuse brehs that can help? Or anyone ever been through there?

Nah breh. These were women in college. They actually knew better but fcuk it, you live and you learn. I can't shyt on Cheesecake Factory though. Not everybody lives in a big city and sometimes chains are your only option.

Heck, I live in NYC and most of these places that are mom and pop serve shytty food but provide "alternative" decorum to the standard and people go crazy over it and hype it up. Good food is good food. When im on a road trip, best believe ya boy is eating at Perkins, Bojangles, and Cracker Barrel and any other chain restaurants like it.

shyt, Capital Grille is a chain and I challenge anyone to find a steakhouse that is THAT much better than what they offer in terms of quality meat and service.

If you roll up to a spot and they make Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Diner Food, Seafood, and Mexican dishes you should turn around and bounce ASAP. Me and my mother in law have to have that "we aint going to Cheesecake Factory" conversation every single time they come in town.

Yeah this is 100% true....I've lived in NYC for over 15 years and I think I've eaten at Applebees twice (10 years ago), Friday's once and I've never eaten at Olive Garden or Red Lobster.

I always told my friends that I refuse to eat at those places now for that reason. There are just too many options out there, that, like you said, do it cheaper and better.

I seriously don't get it. I grew up eating corned beef and rice for dinner so I really am not one to become snobby towards someones food choices. People eat what they like. Most of these mom and pop shops have high inconsistencies with their dishes and service due to the fact that they are prone to turnover so at least you know what you are getting when you go to chains.

I dare someone to act like Carrabas or Carmines doesn't have some good ass italian dishes that can rival those of Rao's or Acapella's.

Just ate there this past Friday night for the fukk of it after work. Bangin.

Buttery soft filet with asparagus and tempura onion rings. Made my god damn weekend.

It's just an average menu aside from the cheesecakes of course. Hate the ones over here. The waiters and servers are Never having my birthday dinner there again. These fukkers took forever on my order, had to remind them that it was my birthday five times , my food was cold and the complimentary birthday ice cream was literally served in a shot glass .

Unless I'm getting my order for free, fukk going there again
