At Iversons peak, combined with the popularity of And 1 mixtapes..... it spawned legions of overly confident kids who saw basketball as nothing more than a contest who could dribble the cutest and look cool on the court.....and saw no reason to answer/listen to anyone.


Iverson could've been far greater than what he was if only he shed that rebellious yet overly confident me vs. the world mentality in his 30's.

Iverson wasn't a winner in any of the stages of his career, and yet, his dust-head stans seem to wanna mention him in serious conversations with the gawds. He was just good and he influenced our style as kids and young adults at the time

Nobody has said A. I. is the greatest player ever to play basketball which is what Kobe & Jordan would be considered

what A. I. is was the greatest small man in the NBA, an absolute Hall of Fame player (something that Vick is not so stop with that comparison)

if you wanna say he is on par with Stockton, Isaiah type of players then you'd be correct

It means that AI isn't as good as those players. And Wade probably wouldn't win with that team but he's still better than Iverson and he'd probably put up better numbers too.

LMAO at Lebron being overhyped. Lebron has been better than Iverson since his 2nd year in the league and its barely even close.

No one brings up Wilt because his stats were amazing but he played watered down competition in a different era. Put Al Jefferson or Anthony Davis in those times and you'd see absurd numbers too.

AI had the 6th man of the year, Coach of the year, and the defensive player of the year plus a top tier defense where he was the weakest link. They were pretty much the Rose-era Bulls of yesteryear.

Wade > AI and it ain't even close.

You can't make any solid argument as to why Wade isn't better than AI unless you bring up a extreme hypothetical. Respect the individual and team accolades and stop propping dudes up on a crutch so they can stand next to greats that have actually accomplished things in this league. That being said I still think AI was a all time great and deserves most of the praise he gets.

What Iverson lacked in efficiency, he more than made up for in scoring and ability. Pound for pound he was toughest guard Ive seen play & nobody could guard bruh in his prime.
