Why do we blame single mothers for their situation?

I blame both parents equally. However, the woman bears all of the health risks and burdens of pregnancy. Should the man decide to bail and shirk his moral and legal responsibility, the mother is typically left to raise and provide for the child on her own. With that said, we can argue all day about whom to "blame", but I'm sure we can all agree that it's unwise to risk getting pregnant by a man who hasn't proven by his actions over a reasonable period of time that he'll be around to do what's right.

I’ll be honest. I’m getting older and the thought of dating a woman with kids doesn’t bother me as much as it used to. It’s hard to find a good woman without kids the older you get.

I been talking to a single mom who’s beautiful, smart, and a great mother. Id be a fool not to be with her cuz some idiot knocked her up and ran.

No woman is even able to keep a man from his kids in 2021 the courts learned its lesson from when I was a kid in most places, so I think the worst if a dad a deadbeat.

The people blaming the single mothers are mostly men whose mindset boils down to
"She curved a responsible man because he's boring to her. She chose a man that she knew had the potential to vanish after an unplanned pregnancy. She made her choice :yeshrug:"

But that leaves that dude off the hook entirely and acts like men don't have a choice in whether they wrap up or avoid women who aren't on birth control.

The Land That Time Forgot
We've had fifty years of legal movements that stipulate bringing children into the world is the sole choice of a woman.

By 50 years of law and culture in the United States, being a single mother is by her solo decision.
