Make it look like LeBron what? :dahell:

This thread is about Draymond and Rodman. There is no mention of MJ or LeBron in the OP.

Everything I posted about Draymond in OP is facts no hyperbole. I’m not making it look like LeBron anything I’m telling you who the fukk Draymond was as a player and why he has the accolades he does.
I was half way thru when I realized im talking to dikk riding wall:francis:

:patrice:ill atleast try to play devils advocate's advocate.

since Man to man defense was more prevalent when Rodman was playing. Maybe being an elite defensive player back then was looked at with more prestige than it is today? Fans would see you jump on your assignment and sit back and watch you shut him down. The direct impact was more obvious to the untrained eye with that setup.

Defense goes very underappreciated in todays era...defense is more complex and you impact your team in ways that arent as obvious perhaps. zones, switches, perimiter contests on D, screens on O which are crucial in todays game... no one bigs up players who do all those things well because it doesnt really jump out at the screen at you, as opposed to back when people were just seeing you locking someone down toe to toe or out hustling ppl for rebounds all game...

It's not more complex though. I still don't understand why they switch everything, when they aren't even going through real screens. It does help to have a versatile defender so that they aren't left out on a island or bullied down low, but that's always been the case. As for zones, you learn how to beat zones in grade school. Draymond isn't a great on-the-ball or one on one defender. He's not a great perimeter or post defender, but he's quick enough to be essential on help defense. Overall, he's a high profile role player, playing his role for that team. You can't plug him on any other team and he will have the same effect. The man is a Boris Diaw type, that's been an All-Star more times than LO (0), who did the same thing, better.

People use to despise Rodman back in the day for his antics. Time looks back on him favorably like they will do Draymond eventually. I remember as a kid, the media thought he was a weirdo and so did the general public. His antics on the court wasn’t well liked either. That’s why it was important to have Madonna around to help him be himself no matter what anyone said.

That said, draymonds talking is why people despise him and the fact that he was talked about like a superstar by a lot of people during the warriors run added on to it.

Rodman role was pretty simple and he was never made more to be than what he was. His on court shenanigans and personality drew a lot of criticism far more than Draymond could dream

:yeshrug:I completely disagree with literally all of this. Respectfully so.

what does politics have to do with this:mindblown:

The behavior. Bringing up the irrelevant when another thing is discussed. I mentioned Trump supporters and their behavior to pivot to something that has nothing to do with the topic at hand....just as you did in bringing up Bron...who had nothing to do with the top at hand.
You are just outright stupid.
