Come on now breh. Of course it matters. If you're making less than the IT brehs it's gonna make you look kinda funny in the late :patrice:

I'll repost the picture I used earlier in case you missed it :mjpls:

What's there to get into? In the OP the 1st thing you put was talking about money, but when people ask you how much you make you want to get secretive. It seems a little strange especially if you're giving career advice.

If you're gonna mention money, then be transparent about it. If you don't want to post how much you make you can at least post the job offers that come across your inbox. That sounds fair doesn't it :lupe:

Hell in the DMV government IT contracting is big bucks- consultant companies experiencing 100-300% increase in revenue annually. Not to mention a lot of the dudes who own IT staffing companies don't know shyt about IT. they just they have the money to Bid on contracts AND basically outsource everything to smaller companies-

Imma leave this thread soon I dont wanna drop to much info
:laff: @ it fixing computers.......

Oh I see, the real ones, not the fake ones.

Do the IT people get to distinguish between real and fake IT?

You aren't as clever as you'd like to think... Yeah, there's a huge difference...just like the IT guys in this thread differentiated themselves as Software IT and then the entry level

I can tell you don't watch sports, but there's the pros and then there's a farm team that gets paid as well...then you have pro ping pong players who wear the hat of "pro athlete"...kinda like how dentists call themselves doctors

Not a hard concept, guy..sorry you found it difficult

You're just playing word games. Dissing IT is no different than dissing sales.

Yeah, I get what you're saying...but the topic is about the profession of sales which gets no love around here..You go by an alias on here (as you should ) so that's where yours and any other poster's credibility goes out the window...nice screen shot, but until you give me a linkedin profile with your real full name, I don't believe it. It's akin to those "texts from last night" where it's all contrived

I could type up some bogus email, cross out a bunch of shyt, and voila...not saying you did, but either way it doesn't hold weight

Basically, you're being secretive as well.

The advice I've given works...if anyone has a website on here, Id be open to do an AMA about digital marketing in the near future and if what I say doesn't work, I'd give this site $200..I think that's more valuable than throwing out some arbitrary # that can't be verified. If I can make some of webpreneurs on this site $$, maybe you can put 2 and 2 together and get an idea.

So instead of coming at me...how come no one has been able to dispute the fact that sales is a lot more valuable and the earnings are higher ?

I get you guys are proud of your profession, but don't let that override your rationale

I'm an SEO, so I sell everything from digital strategies/consultation, technological platforms, optimized content , paid advertisement (YouTube, Google, High authority publications) , and Paid Social Media (Facebook,Twitter, and Pinterest), and B2B / CPG commerce..

To get started, read everything Neil Patel, Moz.com, and Jon Cooper put out...your degree does not matter if you can demonstrate the knowledge

TV and radio are phasing out, and the future of marketing is going digital..that's where big companies are spending big money

Ironically, I do have Certs (4), but it's for Google Analytics...you can get these types of Certs by registering an Adwords account with Google.

That's what's up bruh, I'm a marketing coordinator for a telecommunications company so I basically do SEO, ad words, google analytics, and Google remarketing all damn day.. there's so much money in that shyt, especially with ad words/ppc.. companies are willing to pay stupid amounts not only to advertise, but for consultation cause the ROI is insane when you can find someone to do it efficiently.

My mentor owns his own ad agency he runs out of his house and has one other guy helping him.. this man makes 500k a year smh.. he hardly even advertises his business, he just uses ad words and the rest is word of mouth

That's awesome bro...that's exactly what I'm talking about and I'm glad someone gets it...that's real money and he's even on the lower end lol 2 guys and that's all...and there's a lot of others like that (not at all to take away from your mentor cause he's obviously a boss that knows what he's doing...I know you get what I mean)

The ROIs really are retarded as you said too....even on the non-branded organic search side....just 1 PR 7 link from a well optimized piece of content can generate 10s of thousands of new leads/visitors...It's insane
