So instead of coming at me...how come no one has been able to dispute the fact that sales is a lot more valuable and the earnings are higher ?

I get you guys are proud of your profession, but don't let that override your rationale
nikka you trippin
First of all IT is a rapidly growing and stable field, you always have a job and money because people always need IT people
Doing sales is less lucrative because there are less opportunities and everybody and they uncle is in business school
So why not take advantage of the fact that IT is not hard depending on how king you dedicate to it and what field you choose and that people are often intimidated by it
But this reasoning has already been expresded to you numerous times in this thread to the point you must be trolling lol

Do some research young man...People wouldn't know about IT if it wasn't for sales

CEO or company gets hit with a law suit, entire business collapses, you're stuck at ground zero...the first hire to rebuild the empire would be sales...IT is very low on the hierarchy
:mjlol: bruh just stop. You don't really know that much about IT. When one router fukked up United Airlines' entire system this summer causing half a million travelers worldwide to be grounded and costing United MILLIONS of dollars in just a few hours you think IT was low on the hierarchy?

let me guess. in that situation you would've just tried to sell them a new router?

After spending 4 years getting a degree in Network Administration and landing an IT job immediately after college making almost 50k I realize IT just isn't my passion. I love technology and working with it but I absolutely dread working for someone. This job has provided a level of autonomy and benefits unlike any of the other jobs I've had before. I know I should be grateful. And I am....very much so.

Typical coli nikka isnt deep in IT at all :mjlol:

But I know a lot of them don't have lives, just look at the posters with the most messages :lolbron:
I agree with you on that point but also think most coli nerds would not be good at sales either - I sometimes think I am on here too much but then remember that the dudes lauded as heros around here are basement-dwellers and i feel better.

Easiest cert is A+ cert
But if you wanna make cash quickly do a specialization like ciscos
or microsofts
And you can take an exam to get those right? If I took classes in those there's really no need to go to like one of those IT schools on the commercials.? Those seem like a fast way to end up in debt

What does that have to do with the thread?

Yeah, I get what you're saying...but the topic is about the profession of sales which gets no love around here.

Sales people get no love around here because sales people never talk about working in sales. We have a huge ass thread telling people how to get into IT and what they gotta know to make the most bread.

You go by an alias on here (as you should ) so that's where yours and any other poster's credibility goes out the window...nice screen shot, but until you give me a linkedin profile with your real full name, I don't believe it. It's akin to those "texts from last night" where it's all contrived

I could type up some bogus email, cross out a bunch of shyt, and voila...not saying you did, but either way it doesn't hold weight

Breh, you go by an alias too, does that mean your credibility goes out the window :mjpls:?

But :mjlol: @ bogus emails. Breh you do know you can look these jobs up online right :comeon: Here's a link to a job on Dice that tells you right on the job post how much it pays ($81/hr).

Basically, you're being secretive as well.

Fine, let's stop being secretive. If I post my 2014 W2's will you :lupe:? Because right now you're being more secretive than I am :patrice:

The advice I've given works...if anyone has a website on here, Id be open to do an AMA about digital marketing in the near future and if what I say doesn't work, I'd give this site $200..I think that's more valuable than throwing out some arbitrary # that can't be verified. If I can make some of webpreneurs on this site $$, maybe you can put 2 and 2 together and get an idea.

You're not really giving any advice though. I mean look at the 1st post. It's not about how to get into sales, what education and skills you need, or how to maximize you're earning potential. You mention nothing about digital marketing, content marketing, SEO, lead funnels, ad copy, nothing.

Man don't sell that dude no dreams breh. Cisco or Microsoft certifications won't give you cash quickly. You're gonna have to get years of experience first. Nobody is gonna hire you to manage their network just because you have some certs. He's gonna have to start at the bottom like everyone else.
