Im absolutely sick and tired of society thinking cause of sports that all us black men are good for is dribbling basketballs, scoring touchdowns, and just strength and speed and not our minds and intellects. We have to acknowledge our failures and shortcomings in order to over come them.

I don't blame Blacks for the way we are. It's the society we were all born into. The only thing to do is to gain self awareness, your bearings, choose a destination, and make your life/daily goal to get there.

Tbh many of us only see athletics and music as our only real option. It doesn't help that many of us who are successful like Oprah and Cosby shyt on us.

One of the best vids ive ever watched. Basicly touching on the highlighted. Black youth's "circumference of awareness" is limited compared to other groups. They MAINLY see representations of themselves as rappers,athletes, entertainers, etc. Very few images of intellects with the same skin color are available to the black youth. This has a HUGE psychological affect. The mind cant do what it doesn't know. Thats why its imperative that we own and control our own media. Thats why its imperative that we have positive sounds and images of black professionals, doctors, lawyers, scholars, chemists, judges, etc. Alot of black youth simply never see these representations of themselves. The athlete and the rapper are the 2 biggest representations of the black male specifically. This must change, How can a kid dream to be something if he or she doesn't even know that option exists??

I'm not going to let that shyt bother me; when I was in college I was a square butt. I was in the library all the time studying and shyt; I don't give a fukk. I went to the libarary and went to my dorm and got drunk, by myself. People said shyt about me studying all the time and not partying; I didn't give a fukk, because I did all the dumb street shyt before I went to college.

When I went back home for vacation; because my college is small, I use to run into some kids from my school in LA. A couple of time I ran into some females from my school at the club in hollywood and they were shocked, because I was 10 deep in the club with the homies. But at school I was a square butt who did not party. But the word got around because females have loose lips and they were saying they saw me in the club or in the hood spot.

fukk what other think about you and do you. If you like being a smart man, do that. Let these dumb nikkas get lock up and play booty tag in prison; while your chilling in your condo, drinking with a nice female that has an education also.
