Why does Lebron refuse to go to a ball movement-heavy offense?

For the stat padder people, he already addressed this shyt GOTDAYUM!!! Dude doing it all because he has to, not because he wants to..... now.

However, another playmaker on the floor frees him up to get easy buckets and conserve energy for D, which still makes him look good. So he gonna get his numbers regardless. But yo, a fresh Lebron in the 4th is a great strategy.

he has the iq and ability to be amazing off ball
and he shoots well off catch and shoots....
but if he aint orchestrating the show... he aint interested
to be honest....possibly it just aint kyries skillset either.
I hope they can (likely they won't) convince wade to forgo that extra year wih Chicago or take a buyout and go be the sixth man for the cavs

Wade off the bench as a playmaker would be fire and it would extend his career

Like what you saw end kf the game last night.

You look at the box score like he dominated, and I'm not saying he played bad bc he played very good, just those last several mins when the game was basically already decided
If he doesn't shoot in the 4th he gets criticism. If he does then he is stat padding:hula:. With them losing in an elimination game in the 4th if LeBron doesn't go out swinging he will be called a quitter and weak. When he is scoring when they are losing y'all saying he just wants stats. You want breh to play ball or not?

plat thread
All the points have been made

This is why the "Lebron has no help:damn:" "There's only so much he can do:damn:" "Look at his stats:damn:" arguments have no bearing

It's basically him and another perimeter player (Kyrie, Wade) going one on one all game as everyone else watches.

You can give bron a prime Tim Duncan and he'll turn him into a spot up shooter:heh:

Remember when Kobe abandoned the Kobe system late in his career?:mjlol:
Bron has been to 8 Finals playing his way, kinda hard to convince him to do things differently and kinda pointless when the example is "play more like GSW":troll:
Cavs offense is perfectly fine against every team, save one and even in the finals they weren't "bad". Defense is the problem.:francis:

I agree with your post as far as his offense but how is that padding stats and not just his style of play?

Because post Phoenix Suns D'Antoni, the league has moved toward more motion based offenses. Why? because its so efficient. Motion offenses create a great amount of spacing. So much so that even undersized, less athletic players can put up points. They just have to be in tip top shape and have to be smart in their shot selection.

Even defense comes easier in motion offenses because with your team putting up high numbers, you force an opposing team to have to keep pace. Most teams cant and make bad plays/take bad shots to try and stop the bleeding.

Basically if you seriously want to be a contender in todays league, you have to add motion to your offense.

And Lebron is smart enough to know this. 4 of his 5 finals losses were a result of motion offenses.

That tells me he's just being a stubborn dumbass, for the sake of his stats probably.

Understand, just as Kobe valued his PPG probably more than any other stat or accolade, Lebron probably values his ppg/apg/rpg more than anything.

Nobody said he shouldnt keep trying.

Just saying those last several baskets where bulled his way to the hoop werent going to make any difference. So they ultimately just pad the stats.

I don't know if he would actually give a shyt about his stats taking a hit...But that's not his game :yeshrug:.... He's been very successful tailoring teams and teammates to cater to his playstyle...It kinda is what it is... He's like a 6'8 more efficient Russell Westbrook with a better team around him... His teams inevitably become less than the sum of it's parts (guys like bosh and love end up with a fraction of their normal impact) but he's had stacked enough teams and individually great enough to where it ultimately doesn't matter sometimes ... To me it's only an issue when we start getting the ":sadbron: poor LeBron has to do everything...He needs more help" shyt pops up EVERY time he loses... Especially when he's damn near handpicked his revolving door of allstars and Bron ball shooters to play with for like the entirety of his prime and killed coaches that wanted to implement a more modern motion based offense to bring puppets in... It can't be both ways
Bron stans will ignore this post

LeBron dominating the ball is definitely stat padding. Same thing with Westbrook and Harden. They don't play in traditional offenses. LeBron essentially plays out of position to rack
Up assists.
So his style of play makes him a stat padder:mjlol:
