Lex doesnt like illegal aliens coming into his community. :troll:

but seriously. lex doesnt like the fact that some strange alien dude is running around with all that power and could freak out at any moment and have the entire planet on lockdown if he so well pleases. Lex doesnt like the idea of anyone controlling him or the planet as one person.

Look @ Injustice: Gods Among Us backstory :merchant:

It's a bunch of reasons usually based on the story and writers in new 52 it's the he wants humanity to stand up for themselves and not rely on heroes because they will fail one day ( which actually happened in DC and lex had to save the world becoming a hero and now part of the justice league with captain cold)

Forever Evil was :whew:

This plus the fact that he realizes that as much as Superman is powerful and loved cause he is always helping people... if Superman wanted to take over who will stop him? Lex sees Superman as a threat to the world that possibly can't be stop if he chooses to claim Earth as his own.

Lex hates that Superman has that power but chooses not to go down that path, because Lex most certainly would

Depending on how you look at it, @SkillClash may have a point.

Lex Luthor, Depending on the Writer, believes what he is doing is right and honorable. From his perspective, he is the hero and Superman is the villain. He views Superman and most of the other heroes of the DC universe as the greatest threat to mankind, and is determined to "save humanity" at any cost.

  • Honestly, Lex is his own worst enemy. It can be argued that Luthor does have righteous goals, but his lust for power and is always his undoing.

Like others have explained, Lex is in no way trying to help earth, he views himself as an advanced being one earth should look to, well Superman has arrived and not only is he basically a god but one whose interests are pure

I think Lex shows some altruism though, I'm not certain he is 100 percent power-hungry

There is no twisting what Lex's aims true aims are, he is a bad guy, Walter White is a bad guy, Marlo Stansfield is a bad guy. You dudes really need to accept what some of these characters are.
