I don't understand why women think they can define masculinity. You're no more suited to arguing this topic than a man would be in defining femininity :ld:

I think a better question is what are those quotation marks for. lol. :wtf:

However. you answered your own question. I think it comes down to insecurity. Another aspect of it is the fact that masculinity is about dominance, which adds a good bit of competition into one's motivation behind an action. I'm not sure how serious you are about women allowing themselves to be abused. It's not always that simple so all I can really ask is "what do you find interesting?" as opposed to something more specific. And on the other side of the coin, why do women have to suppress their masculinity? I think looking at it that way might help you gain some insight into your initial question.

i find it interesting that men always have to "prove" their masculinity in some way...it reeks of insecurity

i also find it interesting how women allow men to abuse their masculinity on them

Everything in science no matter what species, even asexual, ultimately identifies the male as the dominant gender and the protector. He's built strong, faster and more agile than his female counterpart.

Therefore in the theory of natural selection, us as human beings adopted "logic and reason", which manifested into what we call communication. Beliefs are argued opinions proven to be viable answers and solutions therefore becoming something that is earned. Masculinity is often contested through natural selection therefore is perpetually challenged and earned as right to relegate predecessors who have a responsibility as the "alpha" to provide for the "betas".

Women try to define manhood all the time. As men we just tell you guys what we want from you. Women are quick to say a real man does this or does not do that.
Could what you call "defing manhood", be women telling you what they want from you?
